CENTRIO Platelet-Rich Plasma System

Some wounds can’t wait, and most clinics can’t slow down to catch up. CENTRIO◊ Platelet-Rich Plasma System (PRP) is a complete, point-of-care solution that turns a small blood draw into a biodynamic PRP gel. It’s ready to place on the wound bed in under 10 minutes.

At a glance

  • • Complete PRP system with everything in one kit: phlebotomy tools, reagents, and wound dressing.
  • One small blood draw can generate PRP gel to cover wounds up to 2,000 cm².
  • One-minute spin with the dedicated centrifuge.
  • Flowable gel conforms to wound depth and complexity.

Indicated for exuding wounds, including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and surgically or mechanically debrided wounds.

Why CENTRIO PRP?

CENTRIO PRP starts and ends with the patient’s own biology. From a small autologous blood sample, the system produces a PRP gel composed of activated platelets, growth factors, and plasma that is applied directly to the wound bed.

Once placed and covered with the supplied clear dressing, the gel:

  • Helps maintain a moist wound environment
  • Conforms to wound shape, depth, and stage
  • Derived from the patient’s own platelets and plasma

This is the perfect solution to support the body’s natural repair processes without adding unnecessary complexity to your workflow.

Clinical evidence

In one study, 90.5% of wounds treated with an enhanced near-physiologic PRP gel showed a 63.6% reduction in wound volume.1

When to use CENTRIO PRP System

CENTRIO PRP System is designed for exuding wounds where you want to leverage autologous biology without slowing clinic flow:

  • Chronic leg ulcers
  • Pressure ulcers
  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Mechanically or surgically debrided wounds
  • Tunneling wounds, undermining, and complex wound geometries

The flowable gel format enables targeted placement into sinus tracts and undermining areas that can be difficult to treat with traditional dressings alone.

Fast, four-step workflow

Total time: under 10 minutes from draw to dressing.

 1-draw it

Draw it

Take a small sample of the patient’s blood.

 2-spin it

Spin it

Load into the CENTRIO System centrifuge for a one-minute spin to separate platelets.

 3-mix it

Mix it

Combine with additives supplied in the CENTRIO Reagent Kit (such as ascorbic acid) to generate the biodynamic PRP gel.

 4-apply it

Apply it

Place the gel over the entire wound bed and secure with the provided clear dressing.

Reimbursement confidence

CENTRIO is reimbursed under the national coverage determination (NCD) issued by CMS on April 13, 2021, for autologous PRP used in the treatment of chronic non-healing diabetic wounds when prepared by devices whose cleared indications include the management of exuding cutaneous wounds, such as diabetic ulcers, for a duration of up to 20 weeks. Coverage beyond 20 weeks is at the discretion of local MACs.
