Fasciotomy Closure with STRAVIX Tissue

2 weeks post STRAVIX Tissue application. Typical caramelization noted; no clinical signs of infection. Rapid formation of granulation tissue, and size reduction.

A 58-year-old male with a history of smoking, DM, HTN, and HCL presented with acute limb ischemia. A CT scan confirmed an occluded SFA and popliteal artery.

The patient underwent an urgent thrombectomy and a 4-compartment fasciotomy, revealing exceptionally swollen muscle. After 1 week of NPWT, swelling decreased, and definitive reconstruction was performed using two 3x6 STRAVIX Tissues stitched together and stapled. At 2 weeks post-application, the wound showed rapid granulation and size reduction with no signs of infection. NPWT was continued.

The patient was followed in-office and by a visiting nurse. Complete closure was achieved 5 months post-STRAVIX application, leaving the patient wound free, pain free, and ambulatory.
