Background

Wound covers and barriers derived from umbilical cord tissue have been shown to positively support outcomes when used to cover and support surgical repair sites following laparoscopic hysterectomies and myomectomies.^3,4 (need to do references)

Protect and cover with ease

STRAVIX or STRAVIX PL Tissue can be easily introduced into the surgical field following a tissue resection such as a myoma, and then secured in place with sutures to cover a higher risk repair site.

Nerve-sparing robot-assisted prostatectomy

Approximately 0.5 cc of fibrin sealant was applied to the left bundle

After holding STRAVIX Tissue in place for approximately 10 seconds, an additional 0.5 cc of sealant was applied on top of the graft.

Repeated to cover the right bundle. In total, the application of STRAVIX Tissue added 5 minutes to the total procedure time.

Background

Wound covers and barriers derived from umbilical cord tissue have been shown to positively support outcomes when used to cover the neurovascular bundles immediately following robot-assisted prostatectomy.^3-5 (need to add references to bottom)

STRAVIX^◊ or STRAVIX PL Tissues can be easily introduced into the surgical field laparoscopically. In this example, one 3 cm x 6 cm unit of STRAVIX Tissue was cut with a scalpel lengthwise into two strips measuring 1.5 cm x 6 cm, and applied as shown below.
